Recognition for AlmostADoctor

Posted by on January 8, 2014

Almost a Doctor LogoCongratulations to our fellow medical revision site, Almost A Doctor. They have won a recognition award from the Health Science Journal for being some of 2013’s top innovators!

Read more about it in this article in the Independent.

Speaking to The Bolton News, Dr Leach, now 26 and working in Australia, said: “It’s like the Wikipedia of medicine, with doctors as editors to verify the content, but it’s written in a simple way.”

He was recognised by the Health Service Journal as one of 2013’s top innovators, alongside heavyweights such as Ben Goldacre and Sir Bruce Keogh.

It’s great to see a traditional field such as medicine starting to recognise some of the innovators in this field. Hopefully this spells for more recognition for us here at MedRevise. With over 4,000 articles written since 2005, we’ve long been shouting that wiki based learning notes are a great way to teach and be taught.

Let’s see if 2014 can be the year of innovation in medicine…
