• Conjunctivitis - inflammation of the outer bit of the eye. Usually caused by adenovirus, herpes (mostly viral). Some caused by common bacteria. Related to GUM - gonnococcal, chlamydia. Mostly dealt with by GP rather than Opthalmology.
