Seminal vesicles

These are 2 lumpy organs, about 2 inches long and found on the posterior surface of the bladder. They follow the path of the vas deferens from the ureters to the prostate. Each is basically a big coiled tube that can contract during ejaculation, secreting a fluid into the seminal fluid that is nourishing to the spermatozoa. They feed out into the vas deferens, at which point they vas is renamed the ejaculatory duct for the rest of its passage into the prostate until it ends at the prostatic urethra.
