Usually, due to gallstones blocking the gall bladder

Clinical Features
Pain at the right hypochondrium (with right shoulder tip pain) worse with fatty foods, jaundice, nausea, vomiting, Murphy's sign (place fingers on costal margin, mid-clavicular line; patient inspires and 'catches' on your fingers).
Investigations
- Elevated alkaline phosphatase and bilirubin
- CRP,
Management
Surgery (cholecystectomy - removal of the gall bladder) with fluids and antibiotics in the mean time.
