This is clubbing. It makes clinic fun!

What is clubbing?

Clubbing is a swelling of the nail bed, causing a rounded fingernail, and loss of the diamond gap between two opposing fingers when you hold the nails against each other. It's pretty rare, and most cases are benign, but it can be a marker for serious disease.

What causes it?

This is the much less interesting type of clubbing.
