NICE, also known as the National Institute for Clinical Excellence, is the UK NHS body that reviews all the research and provides guidance based on effectiveness and cost of treatments.
Reading the boring stuff for you
This means you don't have to pore through millions of journals. They provide a number of guidelines to help summarise the best of the evidence currently available, in a form that is (generally) fairly easy to follow.
