Types
- Macule: flat, can be seen not felt
- Papule: superficial, raised, no pus <1cm
- Vesicle: clear fluid filled (blister) <1cm
- Pustule: pus filled blister
- Bullae: large fluid filled
- Nodule: raised, firm >1cm
- Purpura: doesn’t blanch with pressure (remember the test for Meningitis, pushing a glass on the rash and it not disappearing)
- Petechiae: small superficial purpura, may be palpable
- Telangiectasia: small dilated blood vessels near the surface, commonly in mucous membranes
