The two key birth problems are asphyxia and injury.

Asphyxia

It means suffocation during birth. It is a key cause of brain damage. Over the last 30 years, incidence has massively dropped to about 1.5/1000 births.

The best way to measure it is with a thing called an APGAR score, where one assesses.
