Definition
Disease caused by bite of a Rickettsia tick, which can vary depending on where in the world it is.
Clinical Features
- Fever, headache, myalgia
- Maculopapular rash
- An eschar - necrotic skin lesion at the site of a tick bite.
- Lymphadenopathy
Investigations
Clinical diagnosis, with confirmation after treatment.
Management
Tetracycline sorts it nicely.
