Not really doing this page properly but it's going to contain some stuff when I come back to it later. The three I'm going to have for the minute are:

Gastroschisis

Bowel loops outside the abdomen

Exomphalos

Bowel in a peritoneal sac, outside of the abdomen

Cleft lip and palate

The face, in a peritoneal... oh no, its where theres a gap in the lip and hard palate. Can be fixed by surgery quite well, these days.

Atresia

This is an absence or closure of a part of the gastrointestinal tract. Basically, it just stops. It can happen be:

  • oesophageal
  • biliary
  • duodenal (more common in Down's)
